<p>A must read for anyone interested in real history, Stalin's War of Extermination is based on newly released Soviet documents. You think Socialism is not so bad? Read this book. This book documents the total power the Soviet Government had over their own people and how Russians were murdered by the tens of millions by their own government. Stalin's two big tools were "brutal terror" and "shameless propaganda." Soviet soldiers were forbidden to surrender in battle because the Soviets feared that those who did surrender would join the Germans in their supposed campaign to destroy Communism in Russia. Thus all Soviet soldiers who had been captured for any reason were murdered by the NKVD upon their return. Even millions of Russian civilians in areas which were overrun by German forces and then later recaptured by Soviet Armies were killed or sent to the Gulag. All this was nothing to Stalin who had starved 7 to 9 million Ukranian farmers to death during the government induced famine of 1932-33 (p. 197) and who had purged millions of other Soviet citizens and soldiers. Hand in hand with this terror went endless propaganda. For example, Soviet murders of thousands of Polish officers in the Katyn forest were blamed on the Germans; a lie that was continued up until 1992 when Boris Yeltsin finally released the documents showing the guilt of the Soviet government. (p. 209) To back up these lies "witnesses" were produced. Author Joachim Hoffman sums the situation up well by stating, "Anyone who did not believe the propaganda experienced the terror." (p. 331) Think you can rest easy now that Soviet Communism has "collapsed?" Think again. Author Hoffman touches on the complicity of the West with Soviet genocide and crimes against humanity. For example, France and England declared war on Germany supposedly because of Germany's invasion of Poland. Yet when the Soviet Union also attacked Poland two weeks later and overran the eastern half of the country no one even seemed to notice. The US fought on the same side as "Uncle Joe" Stalin in World War II, a war which had as its main result the enslavement of half a billion people in eastern Europe under Soviet Communism. That is what our soldiers fought and died for. Now look at the US policy toward China today, also a totalitarian Communist country. We are busy sending our manufacturing capacity to China to be worked by slave labor and administered by the same people who butchered the pro-democracy students in Tienaman Square. As the saying goes, "Those who do not study history are forced to repeat it." Read this book to see the real face of Communism. There are those who call names and scream about this and other books "making excuses for the Nazis". Be warned that reading this book, particularly the sections about master Soviet propagandist Ilya Ehrenberg, may cause you to see such name-callers in a different, and very unflattering, light. When appearing in German wartime documents in the context of the "Holocaust," terms like "special treatment," "special action," and others have usually been interpreted as code words that signify the killing of inmates. While certainly the term "special treatment" in many such documents meant execution, the term need not always have had that meaning in German records. In "Special Treatment in Auschwitz," Carlo Mattogno has provided the most thorough study of this textual problem to date. Publishing and interpreting numerous such documents about Auschwitz--many of them hitherto unknown--Mattogno is able to show that, while "special" had many different meanings in these documents, not a single one meant "execution." This important study demonstrates that the habitual practice of deciphering an alleged "code language" by assigning homicidal meaning to completely harmless documents--a key component of the exterminationist historical method--is no longer tenable.

For the past few decades there has been raging a kind of subterranean debate, one of monumental importance. It is a debate about the Holocaust -- not whether or not it "happened" (this is a meaningless claim), but rather, HOW it happened, through what MEANS, and to what EXTENT. On the one hand we have the traditional, orthodox view: the six million Jewish casualties, the gas chambers, the cremation ovens and mass graves. On the other hand there is a small, renegade band of writers and researchers who refuse to accept large parts of this story. These revisionists, as they call themselves, present counter-evidence and ask tough questions. Among the issues they raise are these: (1) there is no trace of a 'Hitler order' to exterminate the Jews; (2) key witnesses have either falsified or greatly exaggerated important aspects of their stories; (3) major death camps -- Belzec, Chelmno, Sobibor, and Treblinka -- have all but vanished; (4) we find little evidence of disturbed earth for mass graves; (5) we find few remains of the millions of alleged victims -- neither bones nor ash; (6) mass-gassing with Zyklon-B would be nearly impossible without ventilators and ceiling holes; (7) mass-gassing with diesel engine exhaust is practically impossible, given the low level of carbon monoxide; (8) wartime air photos of Auschwitz show none of the alleged mass-burnings or cremations; (9) the '6 million' number has no basis in fact, and actually traces back decades before the war; (10) trends in Jewish world population strongly suggest less than 6 million lost; and (11) the present number of "survivors" -- currently over 1 million -- implies few wartime deaths. The revisionists arrive a different account. Hitler, they say, wanted to expel the Jews, not kill them. The ghettos and concentration camps served primarily for ethnic cleansing and forced labor, not mass murder. The Zyklon gas chambers did in fact exist, but were used for delousing and sanitary purposes. And most important, the Jewish death toll was much lower than commonly assumed -- on the order of 500,000. In this book, for the FIRST TIME EVER, the reader can now judge for himself. Arguments and counter-arguments for both sides are presented, and all relevant facts are laid out in a clear and concise manner. Debating the Holocaust : A New Look at Both Sides

The "Holocaust" is often characterized as the greatest crime in the history of mankind. Yet for 44 years not a single forensic investigation into this alleged crime was ever undertaken. This changed in 1988, when Fred A. Leuchter, the American expert for execution technologies, was asked by German-Canadian Ernst Zündel to go to Poland and investigate the facilities in the Auschwitz, Birkenau, and Majdanek camps, which are claimed to have served as chemical slaughterhouses for hundreds of thousands of victims – also called "gas chambers." Leuchter changed the course of history when he concluded in his report: "There were no execution gas chambers at any of these locations." Subsequently, Fred Leuchter also went to other camps, where mass murder with poison gas is claimed to have happened (Dachau, Mauthausen, Hartheim). He then wrote a similarly devastating report, which concluded "that there were no gas execution chambers at any of these locations." This study was accompanied by an annotated bibliography about the claims regarding these three alleged locations of mass murder compiled by Dr. Faurisson. In a third expert report, Fred Leuchter described in detail the technique of execution gas chambers as used in the U.S. for capital punishment and juxtaposed it with claims about alleged Third Reich gassings. In a fourth report, Leuchter criticized a book on "gas chambers" written by French scholar J.-C. Pressac. This edition publishes all these reports in one volume and subjects the first of them, which has caused a huge controversy and triggered a landslide of new research, to a thorough critique, backing up Leuchter’s claims with more information and references, where he is right, and correcting him, where he erred.
