The novelists and movie-makers James and Lance Morcan have produced a book “to end [Holocaust] denial once and for all.” To do this, “no stone was left unturned” to verify historical assertions by presenting “a wide array of sources” meant “to shut down the debate deniers wish to create. One by one, the various arguments Holocaust deniers use to try to discredit wartime records are carefully scrutinized and then systematically disproven.” They headlined the book Debunking Holocaust Denial Theories. Drumroll! Fanfare! Unfortunately, it’s a grand feint, and the present study proves it. First, the Morcans did not address revisionist arguments at all. In fact, they completely ignored the vast amount of recent scholarly studies published by revisionists; they didn’t even identify them. Instead, they engaged in shadowboxing, creating some imaginary, bogus “revisionist” scarecrow – a mélange of distorted or completely invented alleged “denier” arguments – which they then tore to pieces. In addition, their knowledge even of their own side’s source material was dismal, and the way they backed up their misleading or false claims was pitifully inadequate. F for FAIL.

The present book changes this.Part 1 of this book contains a faithful translation of the original 1946 edition of Nyiszli's Hungarian book, while Part 2 makes publicly accessible for the first time essential excerpts of much-less known postwar texts by and about Nyiszli.Part 3 thoroughly scrutinizes Nyiszli's writings with what we know to be true about Auschwitz from solid material facts and authentic documentation, while Part 4 compares his various claims with what other inmate doctors have stated who were in a similar position at Auschwitz as Nyiszli claims for himself.Part 5 takes a critical look into how orthodox historians have dealt with Nyiszli's texts, while a short essay in the Appendix lays bare the mythical nature of the clichE of Dr. Mengele as the "Angel of Death."The author's conclusion is dispositive: "Nyiszli was either an extraordinary impostor or a lunatic; there is no escaping from the dilemma. And both horns of this dilemma - shameless mendacity or lunacy - disqualify Nyiszli and completely destroy his credibility."

Während des Krieges kursierten wilde Gerüchte über das berüchtigte Lager Auschwitz: Die Deutschen testeten dort neue Kampfgase; Häftlinge wurden in Elektrokammern, Gasduschen oder mit pneumatischen Hämmern ermordet; lebende Menschen wurden auf Förderbändern direkt in Kremierungsöfen geschickt; Öl, Fett und Seife wurde aus den Massenmordopfern gemacht. Nichts davon war wahr.Als die Sowjets Anfang 1945 Auschwitz eroberten, berichteten sie, dass Häftlinge auf Starkstromfließbändern getötet wurden, die ihre Opfer direkt in riesige Öfen warfen; dass dort mindestens 4 Millionen Menschen ermordet worden seien. Auch das war nicht wahr.In den unmittelbaren Nachkriegsjahren wiederholten "Zeugen" und "Experten" diese Dinge und fügten dem weitere Phantasien hinzu: dass Insassen mit Gasbomben oder in Gaskammern aus Zeltplanen ermordet wurden; dass die Böden der Gaskammern sich nach unten öffneten, um die Leichen zu entladen; dass Loren sowohl Leichen als auch lebende Menschen direkt in die Öfen kippten; dass die Krematorien von Auschwitz 400 Millionen Opfer verbrannt haben könnten... Wiederum war alles unwahr.Dieses Buch gibt einen Überblick über die vielen Gerüchte, Mythen und Lügen über Auschwitz, die etablierte Historiker heute als unwahr zurückweisen. Es erklärt dann, mit welchen lächerlichen Methoden manche Behauptungen über Auschwitz als wahr akzeptiert und in "Geschichte" umgewandelt wurden, obwohl sie ebenso unwahr sind.
