The exhibition ‘blank-Architecture. Apartheid and after’ was a travelling exhibition. It was produced by the Netherlands Architecture Institute (NAi) in 1998-99. This exhibition presented the results of the research of the history of South-African architecture and urban planning and development during and after the Apartheid. The research was done by the South African philosopher and architect Hilton Judin in cooperation with a team of sixty architects, photographers, filmmakers, and writers. The exhibition was part of the Rotterdam manifestation ‘South African Seasons’ on culture, architecture, and urban development. The manifestation was closed by a conference on architecture and ethics. Then the exhibition took place in the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin and in Museum Africa in Johannesburg from July till December 2000. An education programme for students accompanied the exhibition. The exhibition and the reports of the research have been handed over to South Africa by
