Description:
El tungsteno is a novel of marked social pretension. The plot passes in the first decades of the twentieth century. The North American company Mining Society proprietary of the tungsten mines of Quivilca, decides to extract the mineral, before the imminent entrance of the United States in World War I. For this reason they hire pawns and employe natives of Colca (the capital of Quivilca). These and the director of the company settled in a spot near an indigenous community that used to live separately.

Estos y los directivos de la empresa, se asientan en un paraje cercano a las cabañas de los soras, una comunidad indígena que se había vivido apartada.
