Dreamland By The Sea

Dreamland by the Sea is composed of 23 images and fragmented thoughts made in (and in relation to) Margate, England in 2017. Morris dancers lead a procession in to Dreamland — a once seaside mecca for British families in the 1950s. The ensuing imagery and text suggest a forgotten oasis — vacant landscapes depleting of pigment feel more reminiscent of a wasteland. The dreamland that transpires is both familiar and foreign, permeated by an imminent sense of unease.
