The Pioneer and the Innkeeper: Adventures in Uncertainty and Faith Around the World

Dr. Cal Wilson was armed with a fresh degree in the new specialty of Family Medicine and inspired by stories of pioneer missionary doctors. His wife Mimi grew up deep in the Ituri Forest of Democratic Republic of Congo and watched her mother welcome anyone who passed through. She inherited a passion for serving the balm of a warm meal and good conversation. Together they lived for stretches of time in Africa, South America, the Middle East, and the Navajo reservation, with the goals of serving the not-yet-served and leaving them able to serve themselves and others.
