Did you know that Macalester was once dubbed "America's Hottest Liberal Arts College"?
How about that students at Macalester represent all 50 states and international students compose 14% of the student body? In fact, an estimated one in six Macalester students comes from one of 89 foreign countries. So students here aren't just hot, they are exotic hot.
International must be a theme, since more than 50% of Macalester students study abroad. In the past five years, Macalester students have studied in over 63 different countries.
But don't let good looks fool you - Macalester's acceptance rate is only 39%. (Good looking and smart? What are the odds!?)
And what do all of these good-looking smarties wear? According to our student author, it's not smarty pants.
As is evident by the bouts of streaking on campus, many students prefer their birthday suits.
But it's not all fun and games at Mac.
"Mac is about finding your own niche; it's not like a university where you can go to some frat kegger and meet a lot of people. Here, you kind of have to make an effort. But it is worth it in the end. If you are really going to college to get an education and have some fun while you are at it, then this is the place to be. If you want to party your butt off, go somewhere else."
