But it's not as much of a big world after you get adjusted. "Even though it is a big place, there are always people from your hometown or your dorm or whatever to run into. The more you meet people, the more it becomes a small world."You can bond over a good meal on campus."Campus food is really one of the top student gripes, along with parking. It's just one of those things that you have to get used to. It's not dog food, but it's not home cookin' either."Maybe not. But not to worry-off-campus options are plentiful."We have about every conceivable type of restaurant, and we keep getting more. Some local places are good, like Nick's English Hut, Puccini's (Italian), La Charreada (cheap but great Mexican), Malibu Grill, and the list goes on. We have everything from Indian to Tibetan to Greek."Pretty soon, you'll start to feel less like a dot, and more like part of the big picture. School spirit is one of the things IU thrives on. Particularly strong when basketball season rolls around, students are proud to be Hoosiers and wear the Cream and Crimson like a badge.
