It emphasizes the need of the future force leader to broaden and acquire a greater depth vice breadth of experience in challenging leadership positions. In addition, this pamphlet provides a summary of the special branches. This pamphlet applies to the Regular Army, the Army National Guard/Army National Guard of the United States, and the U.S. Army Reserve, unless otherwise stated. During mobilization, procedures in this publication can be modified to support policy changes as necessary.
