Description:

REVOLUTION is historical fiction about a Key West boat captain caught in the midst of power struggles between Batista, Castro and the United States. At first, Ramon is unwilling to be involved in Cuba's Revolution but changes his mind when an assassin working for the Batista regime mistakenly murders his younger brother in Key West. Traveling to Cuba, he hunts down the assassin to exact revenge. After witnessing the harsh rule of the Batista government in Cuba, Ramon smuggles arms to Castro to help put an end to the Batista government. When relations between America and Cuba turn sour, the CIA convinces Ramon to smuggle guns to anti-Castro forces. Despite his warning to the CIA that Castro has significant popular support, the CIA proceeds with the disastrous invasion at the Bay of Pigs. During the missile crisis, the CIA sends Ramon on a mission to prove the Soviet Union installed missiles in Cuba. The US-Soviet tension over the installation of missiles was the greatest crisis of the Kennedy administration. REVOLUTION is a singularly absorbing and suspenseful tale.
