John Hendrix witnesses a mafia style killing while hunting on Sal Rossi's land. Hendrix suspects that Rossi, a corrupt union boss, is involved in the murder. Concerned that his family would be the target of Rossi's henchmen, which happened five years ago, Hendrix doesn't want to tell the county sheriff. The sheriff collects evidence that places Hendrix at the scene of the murder and when another murder occurs the sheriff arrests Hendrix. He escapes when the car transporting him to jail is involved in an accident. The chief deputy learns that the sheriff also has a motive to commit murder and when authorities are about to confront the sheriff, he has a heart attack and is rushed to the hospital. The sheriff's physician is incompetent to treat heart attacks and a major effort by hospital personnel to save the sheriff's life is complicated by hospital politics.

The US-Soviet tension over the installation of missiles was the greatest crisis of the Kennedy administration. REVOLUTION is a singularly absorbing and suspenseful tale.

"You are under arrest" places a responsibility on your shoulders, as an officer, and you must know the law, be honorable, diligent, and use your most important skill "common sense". This is not a game - it is reality and actuality. This life and career is a dedication to place your life in harm's way for the community you serve, to spend long and boring hours performing duties that do not make television and to be a part of a group of friends who fight the same battles and boredom. Dan Palicki retired from the Toledo Police Department (Ohio) with almost 31 years experience. He relates what it was like to wear the blue uniform from early 1960's to the 1990's. The career starts from the days in the academy, through walking a beat, filling in on various assignments getting a permanent riding crew to finishing the 31 years in the Traffic Section.
