The Attention Deficit Disorders Intervention Manual
Description:
The Attention Deficit Disorders Evaluation Scale: Secondary-Age Student (ADDES-S) School Version enables secondary educators, school and private psychologists, pediatricians, and other medical personnel to evaluate and diagnose Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder in secondary-age youth from input provided by primary observers of a student's behavior. The ADDES-S was developed from research in behavior disorders, learning disabilities, and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder; current literature in psychology, neurology, and education; and current practices in identification and diagnosis. The subscales, Inattentive and Hyperactive-Impulsive, are based on the most currently recognized subtypes of ADHD. The results provided by the scale are commensurate with criteria used by educational, psychiatric, and pediatric professionals to identify Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder in youth. The secondary scale is available in a School Version, a reporting form for educators. The ADDES-3 Home Version (p. 18) can be used as the reporting form for parents. Internal consistency, test-retest, and inter-rater reliability; item and factor analysis; and content, diagnostic, criterion-related, and construct validity are documented and reported for the scale.
