A collection of essays of the McMurtry-Cornelius lineage of Aleister Crowley's A.'.A.'. The essays were written by J. Edward and Erica M Cornelius. Many were written in response to a student's request for information which they deemed not clearly explained in Crowley's writings. Since many students ask the same questions, J. Edward Cornelius started writing his replies in the form of essays which could later be handed out or emailed to other students who might be asking the same if not similar questions. In this light the essays run the gamut of thought from easy magickal foundational information to more intricate theories related to the Qabalistic spheres on the Tree of Life in which the student resides. The Scarlet Women of Aleister Crowley: Being Essays Volume 6: the Brilliant, the Beastly, the Scarlet, and the Muddy

Edward Cornelius recounts the history of the A.'.A.'. from its inception to the present, but mainly documenting a period when the Order as a whole was under direct threat of extinction from within. It began when a newly formed A.'.A.'. lineage of ex-Marcelo Motta students from the late-1980s under the leadership of a supposed new World Teacher came out and declared itself, by extremely odd and convoluted logic, to be the sole heirs to Aleister Crowley's legacy. It then demanded that all other A.'.A.'. lineages acknowledge their sole authority. And when other lineages quite predictably told it to get bent, it tried to strong-arm its A.'.A.'. rivals into submission by using the worldly might of the Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO) against them. However, it appears this A.'.A.'. branch never counted on their intended new subjects fighting back, and they certainly never counted on their targets, and specifically the present author, keeping such scrupulous notes and documents about the real order and character of events. In the end, this other lineage under the new, so-called World Teacher was defeated by the facts, strategically wielded by a soldier of Freedom. Despite our extremely critical stance on the events discussed, we present this book as an instructive history, not as an attack. For example, we have no problem acknowledging this other lineage's right exist as legitimate A.'.A.'. albeit not as the only legitimate branch. Unfortunately, the danger to the A.'.A.'. has not yet passed; these Restrictionists are still traveling around the world spreading their faulty and deceptive version of our Order's history to people who don't know any better. After all, it has been twenty years since the history of the events portrayed in this book occurred and multiple generations have come and gone since then, and naturally the new recruits in both OTO and A.'.A.'. wish to believe the best about those who run what used to be Crowley's A.'.A.'.

The Aleister Crowley Primer: For Those Who Are Willing to be Shunned

Changing of the Guard covers the extremely colorful, shocking, and at times hilarious events around two basic efforts of its author, J. Edward Cornelius. The first effort was to spearhead Ordo Templi Orientis' (OTO's) successful lawsuit against the City of Berkeley, California and Alameda County, California. The OTO sued these government entities for perpetrating a police raid motivated by religious intolerance against those whom they deemed "devil worshippers." At this time period in the United States, nervous Christians imagined Satanists performing human sacrifices in every backyard and basement-and of course they identified every occult or non-Christian group as Satanic. This was a time of mass-paranoia and witch-hunting, with tragic consequences for many of the falsely accused when Thelema Lodge, OTO and other locations in the Bay Area were raided during a botched police raid looking for drugs, guns and underaged runaways. Cornelius was one of several people who was arrested and who was instrumental in fighting and winning this morally important victory. The second effort that Cornelius details in this book was the OTO's attempt to reform the Bay Area's Thelema Lodge (formerly Grand Lodge) to be an orderly, dignified representation of Crowley's Order. Oh, the stories Cornelius tells in this book! It all started when newly-elected OTO leader (X°) William Breeze convinced Cornelius to serve as Lodge Master of Thelema Lodge, much to the chagrin of the self-styled Bay Area "Community." Before Cornelius even arrived in California from the East Coast he was resented and rejected by said "Community." Hijinks and push-back ensued: crazy Masses, thefts, lice outbreaks, and in-fighting that caused-you guessed it-the most expensive lawsuit to that date in the OTO's history (see above). Cornelius' stories are definitely some that the OTO wishes would remain buried, but they reflect the bigger picture of which these flamboyant and scandalous events are but a microcosm.

Crossing the Abyss and into the Aeon of the Daughter: The Magickal Story of Aleister Crowley and Charles Stansfeld Jones

Who is Frater Achad and why should we study him? Besides Aleister Crowley, Frater Achad is the single most important Thelemite in our history. He discovered the secrets of which Crowley was oblivious and he proved that Crowley did not write The Book of the Law. His discoveries about the number 31 and how 31 (AL) x 3 gods = 93 is critical. He discovered the 93 Current. Crowley so loved his discovery that he changed the cover of 'Liber L vel Legis' to 'Liber AL vel Legis.'Achad also joined the A.'.A.'. in 1909, only a few years after Crowley established the Order. He, like Crowley, swore the Oath of the Abyss and became a Magister Templi. He was already in the A.'.A.'. when Crowley was approached by Reuss to join the OTO.Crowley's letters to Achad in these early years are the clearest description of how OTO sex magick works. Equally important are Crowley's views on women. Achad's breakup with Crowley is discussed in-depth, as is the debacle in Detroit, the Cefalu period and Achad's involvement in the Universal Brotherhood. We also address the question, "Who is Maat?"

With Tell Me Why I'm Still in the OTO, J. Edward Cornelius continues his much-needed memoir series about being a member of Aleister Crowley's Ordo Templi Orientis (OTO). Rather than leaving Thelemic history to be told by propagandists who obfuscate facts and mutate their stories as needed, Cornelius writes as one of the few movers-and-shakers in OTO who also kept good records! These Memoirs cover the period from 1993 to 1996, the years directly following the period of 1989 to 1993 which are detailed in his previous volume, The Changing of the Guard. The volume discloses that the Bay Area problems are not rooted in the man of Earth degrees as it seemed during the time period covered in the previous volume. Rather, it is coming from within the Fifth Degree ranks, most of whom Bill Breeze has appointed. In so many ways, Breeze gutted Grady's OTO after he took over and he rapidly appointed Fifths to make up the newly formed Electoral College. Breeze handed out Rose Croix charters regardless whether the recipients had demonstrated that they understood the secrets of the degree.All in all, Tell Me Why I'm Still in the OTO is J. Edward remembering a time in the Order's history in which the new leadership was working hard to project a squeaky-clean, Masonic image and to establish worldwide domination of Thelema (both OTO and A.'.A.'.). The bulk of the Order's efforts were spent on the façade, little on the quality of the interactions, rituals, and relationships of its members. It was a time when, if you didn't conform, you were expelled or pushed out of the Order. Finally, J. Edward also learned that Bill Breeze and others did not know the truth behind the Caliphate and why Aleister Crowley created it, nor did they know that Grady Louis McMurtry had signed the original OTO Charter as a Magus 9=2 and so they discarded the title of Caliph from the OTO. At this point J. Edward began examining Scriven's leadership under microscope, and the image wasn't good.

This new book tells my personal story taken from my private diaries and magickal records from around 1966 of an Enochian ritual done through the Ouija board! I initially began writing this one around 1995 but when it was later released through Feral House in November of 2005 and titled Aleister Crowley and the Ouija Board, it was greatly edited, reformatted and it suffered at the hands of an editor who wanted the book to have more of a Spiritualistic approach rather than a magickal discourse rooted in my own life’s story. This new book begins with the history of the board, what my spiritual teacher taught me and then quickly discusses the truth behind the use of the board as a magickal implement. It graphically tells the story of how I haunted my grandparent’s house--which was omitted from the earlier version published by Feral House. Aleister Crowley himself not only wrote about the Ouija board, but he advocated its use! If it were only a parlor game, would the likes of the Great Beast have given this implement any consideration at all? This new release has restored the Ouija book to its original intent by using my original pages and notes with some new added material.
