<p>“If you ever get the chance to jump out of an aircraft from 800 feet carrying almost 150 pounds of equipment with 2500 other guys into a crosswind gusting to 75 knots – don’t try it. It’s not as much fun as it sounds…” On March 30, 1982 Wayne Wood heard medics declare him dead on a wind-swept drop zone at Fort Irwin California. A year and a half later he participated in the invasion of Grenada. This is the story of what led him to that Drop Zone and how he defied the odds to be declared a fully fit paratrooper. All the Way! is one soldier’s story; it tells a story of a "forgotten generation," the "Cold Warriors" and reminds us there were times when the "Cold" War got hot. It is the story of “Army people,” the soldiers who fight the battles and the families who wait for them. As an Army brat during Vietnam, to his own service, he brings a unique perspective that will bring back memories to those who have served of any generation and provide insight of what military service is to those who have never served.</p>
