This book provides vignettes demonstrating the importance of considering a child's individual needs when selecting a school. It describes schools that specialize in helping children with special needs, and it clarifies the role of psychological evaluations in school selection. Finally, the book lists API scores and SAT scores, names winners of state and national school recognition programs and includes school websites and websites that provide school data. Co-author Nancy Ginsburg Gill is a teacher, education writer and consultant, who for over twenty-five years has helped parents through the school selection process. Co-author Brendan Pratt, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist and pediatric neuropsychologist specializing in educational and psychological evaluations of children and adolescents.</p>
