Aipotu, utopia spelled backwards, includes the long chant, A Century of Progress, first published in 1963, the year the world's fair was in New York. The Fair imitated an earlier one in 1993 to which Congdon had been taken as a child. The theme of both fairs was "A Century of Progress." Recognizably related to works by Ginsberg, Corso, Ferlinghetti, and Snyder, this collection is a must for poetry lovers, aficionados of the Beat poets, poets of all generations.
