Around Town with Miss Rhonda is the third set in the Miss Rhonda's Readers Series of early reader books. Set Three contains 7 chapters that each focus on a long vowel sound. The chapters tell a real life story of Miss Rhonda's neighborhood from wild geese to beavers, plucky goats and a wandering caterpillar. There is also a stormy night the lights go out, a young girl getting her first horse ride and a wild chase through the house after a small brown mouse. Each chapter is 12 pages long. The last page is a list of focus words highlighting the long vowel sound featured in that story.

This level two book is designed to be read after the child is comfortable with SET ONE and SET TWO. This book contains words that are mostly phonetic with some sight words and long vowel sounds. The chapters tell real life stories of Miss Rhonda's neighborhood from wild geese to beavers, plunky goats and a caterpillar. There is also a night the lights go out in a storm and a visit to a horse farm to meet a special pony. Each 12 page story ends with a page of focus words. This level two chapter book has been written for the child to read after SET ONE , SET TWO and On the Farm. There is much opportunity for the child to practice long vowel words in a supportive setting while reading some really fun stories.
