Everyday Creativity

<p>The book Everyday Creativity has been used as a textbook at Oklahoma State University for over 7 years. This practical handbook makes an excellent supplemental text for university level Early Childhood Education Courses for the Exceptional Learner, Gifted Ed Courses and as a resource book for regular classroom teachers. It has also been sold directly through the publisher, Little Ox Books (a division of McGoff Creativity, LLC.) to parents, teachers and other universities. The book covers creativity from the perspective of E. Paul Torrance of the University of Georgia, who published the Torrance Tests of Creativity Thinking in the 1960s. The TTCT was used world wide as a standardized test for selecting creative children. It is still used by many schools. The author, Kathy Goff, worked directly with E. Paul Torrance for 20 years until he passed away in 2003. This book Everyday Creativity is a continuation of his work. Chapters in Everyday Creativity Include: Chapter 1: Creativity and E. Paul Torrance; Chapter 2: Creativity Testing; Chapter 3: Creative Abilities; Chapter 4: Creative Problem Solving; Chapter 5: Creative Learning and Incubation; Chapter 6: Creativity and Personal Strengths; Chapter 7: Creativity and Women; Chapter 8: Creativity, Play and the Arts; Chapter 9: Creativity, Humor and Wellness; Chapter 10: Creativity and Mentoring; Chapter 11: Lifelong Creativity; and Chapter 12: Creativity Tips. There are questions for discussion at the end of each chapter. The book is fully referenced and indexed making it appropriate for college texts. The book is written in 14 pt. font because the section on Lifelong Creativity is devoted to older adults so the need for larger font. The book is concise, easy to read and a must have for any library on creativity, or for any person interested in a good overview of the subject of creativity.</p>
