Combating the relentless mountain winters and accompanying avalanches, lawsuits, and fraud, fending from claim jumpers, a safe haven for moonshiners, and all other crime that followed the western pursuit for riches presented themselves throughout the lifespan of the Victoria.For decades, the ruins of Masontown have left behind many mysteries. From its puzzling origins, disputed population, and impending demise, the history of what truly happened here has remained hidden underneath the rubble alongside this ghost town . . . until now.</p>
