It provides everything you need to help organize and run group meetings of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius (19th Annotation). Meeting agendas, prayers, sharing questions, meditations, forms, charts, applications, brochures, and instructions are included. Also, for each meeting, you’ll find a stated theme and purpose, handouts, ideas for setting the environment, and more. Even sample talks are included for reference. Topics follow themes taken from the appropriate Ignatian “week” in which the meeting falls. In no way should this manual be the end of the story. Consider it the beginning. The Director's Guide is the first in a series of three booklets designed to help individuals or groups provide a quality 5-week retreat program based on the preparation days of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. The theme throughout is how much God loves you. This book includes meeting agendas, opening and closing prayers, sample presentations, and meditations, all organized and ready to use. Book 2 contains all scripture references for the full five weeks of prayer, as well as space to write each day. Each retreatant can have his or her own book. Book 3, Write your Faith Autobiography, contains questions and places to write. Each retreatant fills out one page per day and complete his or her faith autobiography. The Preparation Days Retreat series is appropriate for parish, young adult group, or others who want an introduction to Ignatian Spirituality.
