This volume is a revised version of the original, which is the chief introduction to the fundamental concepts and technology of measuring spindle motion. The new edition has been updated with clearer examples and explanations, as well as improved illustrations. The book furnishes the mathematical tools to understand--and correct--various kinds of motion and rotational errors. Using case studies and practical examples, the author explains how to set up devices for measuring spindle motion. About the Author: Dr. Eric Marsh is a professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of Penn State University.
