<p>Melungeons: NOTE----Having done research for years on this subject and having read this book, and of all books printed on this subject, I have found this to be the most informative and scholarly of all books on the Melungeons (and other mixed races as you have to include mixed races in any material dealing with Melungeon background/heritage). This book is out of print but still the best. Pat Spurlock Elder, whom it has been my pleasure to share information with has exceeded any other research available when this was published in 1999 and up to today (2019).</p>
