The ebbing tide of my life compels me to take pen in hand and present for your scrutiny the strange circumstances surrounding the ancestral seat of the "Unlucky House of Stuart"; my home in the highlands of Scotland. Castle Stuart stands today as it was created in the year of our Lord 1625; repelling unwanted guests through generations. Weathered by violent atorms borne in the cruel North Sea, and battered by incessant winds which break upon its threshold; it offers no refuge to the uninvited. One of the oldest dwellings in that part of the country it stands desolate within sight of the Moray Firth and some five miles from the town of Inverness. Bo longer is it occupied, or should I say tenanted...but if you should ask any of thel ocal folk they will hasten to tell you that "there is no peace in that house" and herein hangs this tale.
