All the Stuff We Cooked: 49 recipes ———————- Welcome to the updated edition of Frederik Bille Brahe’s sold-out first cookbook, All the Stuff We Cooked, born of that strange moment when we all learnt what it was to go into lockdown for the first time. From the confines of our respective homes, we came up with the idea of publishing this book in the same spirit of simplicity and integrity that we find in Frederik’s cooking, and from there it was a question of inviting the Japanese artist Masanao Hirayama to add his unassuming linework alongside Frederik’s photos. The result was All the Stuff We Cooked: 44 recipes for simple but thoughtful dishes, a taste of his internationally renowned restaurants in Copenhagen—Atelier September, Apollo Bar, and Kafeteria—and the cooking he does at home for his family. The response from everyone who bought the book and cooked from it was deeply touching, and for this new edition we’ve added in five more recipes: ‘some of the stuff we cooked that didn’t make it to the first edition’, or the proverbial cherry on top.

Xavier Corberó (1935–2017) is among the foremost Spanish artists of the last century. His sculptures in rough-hewn stone, marble, and bronze gave form to ideas running through a circle of contemporary surrealist artists, including Salvador Dalí, Marcel Duchamp, Max Ernst, and Joan Miró, but with pieces distinctly his own. His works are widely and internationally celebrated in institutions like London’s V&A and New York’s The Met, but maybe his greatest artwork is located on the outskirts of Barcelona in the form of the home he built for himself over a period of five decades, a series of labyrinthine rooms, levels, buildings, and arches that he continually added to whenever money came his way, conceiving new plans on morning strolls with the local builder.\nThe House of Xavier Corberó, edited by his daughter Ana Corberó, is the first publication to explore this home in Esplugues de Llobregat, which soon looks to be sold. With original photography by Daniel Riera, it also features a series of texts by long-time friends and colleagues of the artist: the architects Ricardo Bofill and Josep Acebillo, program director at World Architecture Festival Paul Finch, artist and journalist Celia Lyttelton, RBTA director Pablo Bofill, as well as an interview with Corberó himself by the filmmaker Albert Moya, originally published in issue #16 of Apartamento magazine.

Miguel Milá: A Life in Design ( First Edition , 2022 ) - by Apartamento - ——————Miguel Milá is considered one of Spain’s first and most influential industrial designers. Starting out as an interior designer amid the country’s early modernist movement, Milá began making the objects he needed but couldn’t yet find on the market. He took raw and renewable materials and crafted prototypes by hand, occasionally evolving designs to perfect his now-iconic lighting and furniture. Miguel Milá: A Life in Design is a detailed look back through his most emblematic works, produced between 1956 and 2021, with archival photos and drawings, as well as original photos shot at Milá’s Barcelona home by Nacho Alegre. Introducing the book is seminal English designer Jasper Morrison, while the products are catalogued and described by design academic Francisco Gaspar Quevedo, who also contributed a biographical text on Miguel’s life, career, and the principles that sprang from both.
