The book brings together the experience of more than 15 years of teaching the course entitled "Principles of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences" all the way from Africa (at the Rwandan Medical School), to Chicago (at the University of Illinois), and to North Miami (at Florida International University Department of Public Health). The book is actually the result of working with the many graduate students who took that course that the author was able to compile a textbook that emphasizes the public health aspects of environmental and occupational health sciences.
