Painful Dilemma: Patients in Pain - People in Prison

This book addresses the tragic dilemma of many people living in pain as a result of physicians' fear of creating dependence and addiction from prescription narcotics. As is often the case, government involvement makes the dilemma worse due to the unintended consequences of government regulations. As Dr. Douglass has often stated, "less government is best government" in general, and it's time to allow physicians more freedom to accomplish one of their most important tasks: relieve pain and suffering.
