The Author's Cut is the full and unabridged version of Roland Boer's Criticism of Heaven. The book is a detailed study of some key Western Marxists and their engagements with theology: Ernst Bloch, Walter Benjamin, Louis Althusser, Henri Lefebvre, Antonio Gramsci, Terry Eagleton, Slavoj Zizek, and Theodor Adorno. But this text, The Author's Cut, includes whole sections of chapters, especially detailed textual analysis and personal engagements, not included in the first published version, as well as the original full conclusion. In short, it is fifty per cent longer than its first incarnation.
