Becoming a Man

Psalm 37v 23-24 says the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord upholds him with His hands. When God created man, the potential for becoming great was in the seed. However, there is a process of time that must be observed in order for the seed to become a fruit mete for the Master's table. In these twelve chapters of Sheldon's life of which I was privileged to have shared in some of his trials and victories, I pray as you read, you too will embrace the answers he found and apply them to your life. I observed how he handled his pains and his growth in grace and Godliness, trusting and depending on the Holy Spirit's guidance to become the man of God he is today. Let me say, there is no short cuts to Christian maturity and no easy paths or simple formulas to become a vessel of honor for God's use. There is no magic in this book. However, these twelve chapters are filled with scriptures, personal experiences and practical applications of the word of God. If used properly, this book could be a practical help to new Christians, and an excellent tool to anyone looking for an answer in times of doubt and indecision. There are principles that we see in this book that we can apply to our lives to truly realize spiritual growth in fulfilling the call of discipleship that Christ has called us to. 1Waiting is a discipline. 2. Winning is an attitude. 3. Living victorious is a choice. 4. Life is a priority, therefore it must be planned, ordered, and structured. Seeing God as an ally in our lives and not as a hindrance, will help us become a vessel of honor for God's glory and use. As you read and share in the continuous experience of walking with and trusting God, you too can discover God's unfolding plan for your life. Become the man, vessel that God has called you to be today.
