Written by Rabbi Joseph Karo in 1565, the Shulhan Aruch has been long accepted as the standard code of Jewish law and practice. This volume presents an English restatement of those sections of the text containing laws regarding the paid bailee, the lessee, labor, the borrowing of objects, stealing, and robbery.
