Trees and Shrubs of Greece

George Sfikas is an expert on the subject of Greek flora and fauna and has written many books and papers. For his great contribution towards the protection of Greece's flora and fauna, Sfikas received in 1986 from the Athens Academy the special award for the Conservation of the Environment. This book includes descriptions and illustrations of all the trees and large shrubs that grow wild in Greece, together with information on their ranges. It also contains data on the climate, vegetation and flora of Greece, and keys to species identification.
