See the World as a Five Layered Cake
Description:
"Amit Goswami brings a deep understanding of reality through synthesis of science and spirituality. He has contributed immensely to my own understanding of the nature of existence." - Deepak Chopra\nRelax. Do not take things too seriously. For the things are not what you think them to be. Even you are not just your body, the body with which you have identified yourself all along.
The renegade scientist sage Dr. Amit Goswami, Ph.D., in this book takes a close look at our 'own self'; so close a look that it can change our perception of reality quite dramatically. In his inimitable style, Dr Goswami connects quantum physics with old wisdom traditions and scientifically explains that we are not limited to our physical bodies, we are much beyond that. Once one realises the enormity of the concept, a wonderful thing happens. It changes the context of life. And that, dear reader, is just the beginning of the transformation.
This book is a treasure trove of information for both the curious and the committed. Even if you are neither right now, it does not matter, you might just turn into one if you read it. Born in colonial India in 1936, Amit went on to secure his Ph.D. from the Calcutta University before moving to US as a professor of physics in the University of Oregon, USA. Following the norm, however, was not his cup of tea. After a moment of insight in his late thirties, he embarked on a journey of personal transformation that would eventually see the publication of his seminal book, The Self-aware Universe proclaiming that consciousness is the ground of all being, and heralding a worldwide movement called Quantum Activism.
He followed it up with more books like Quantum Doctor, Physics of the Soul and more recently The Everything Answer Book to name a few. Over more than four decades, he has been relentlessly working to spread the word through his numerous books, talks and workshops spanning across all five continents. By going against the materialist establishment, he earned the distinction of being a renegade scientist. Because of his deep spiritual nature and wisdom, he is also called a sage. His efforts have integrated the domains of science and spirituality like never before. His theories and ideas have found profound applications in integrative healthcare, neuroscience and even economics. He was featured in the movie What the Bleep Do We Know! and the documentaries Dalai Lama Renaissance and The Quantum Activist. He is also the founder of Quantum Activism Vishwalayam, an institution of transformative education in India. He is keen to make a difference to this world, to leave it in a better shape than when he came in.
