The Global Environmental Goods and Services Industry

The environment industry supplies pollution control, reduction, clean-up and waste handling equipment and related services. The industry is estimated to have a turnover of END 250 billion and employ around 1 per cent of total workers in OECD countries. It is driven by environmental regulations and growing public awareness of the need for cleaner products, and more sustainable production and consumption.
