Education for All: Purpose and Context/an Expanded Vision/the Requirements

The first volume deals with basic learning requirements such as literacy, numeracy, problem-solving skills and a broad range of life skills and values needed to function effectively in society. The second volume examines the role of families, communities and other social agents in areas such as early-childhood care, health and nutrition, distance learning and non-formal continuing and adult education. The third volume focuses on how to turn education for all into a reality through the development of a supportive policy context, resource mobilization, technical capacity-building and increased international co-operation.
