Case Studies in Populations Policy: Hungary

A series of country case studies has been published by the United Nations which focuses on selected issues in the formulation, implementation & evaluation of population policies in various developing & developed countries. The specific issues addressed include the manner by which policies, programmes & targets aim to influence demographic variables, how they have been formulated & the extent to which they have been implemented in relation to one another & to other social, economic & political goals. For each country, historical background & population concerns are presented, as well as general demographic trends, estimates & projections.
