The Intergovernmental Group of 24 on International Monetary Affairs (G-24) was established in 1971 to increase the negotiating strength of the developing countries on the reform of the international monetary system. Technical support and analysis relating to the issues arising for discussion is provided in the form of analytical papers prepared by experts on the issues in question. The Group of 24 continues to be provided with challenging analyses which are reissued periodically in compendia. This is the eighth volume to be published.
