Eating Planet: Food and Sustainability: Building Our Future

For the first time in 2012, "Eating Planet" represents the proposals of the Barilla Center for Food & Nutrition to overcome the challenge of the sustainability of the global agri-food system. This is a complex scenario characterized by three paradoxes - food waste, coexistence of malnutrition and obesity, distortions in the use of resources - urgent response. Written with the contribution of a panel of internationally renowned experts - Pavan Sukhdev, Gianfranco Bologna, Barbara Buchner, Paolo De Castro, Danielle Nierenberg, Paul Roberts, Carlo Petrini, Riccardo Valentini, Hans R. This new edition also presents a series of initiatives that decision-makers, economic operators and citizens should implement in the many implications involved, including the Milan Protocol and Youth Manifesto Action Platforms elaborated within the framework of BCFN's activities and to give concreteness to ' Expo 2015 heritage.
