The New Milan Trade Fair from Studio Fuksas -- one of the most impressive interpretations of the traditional conventional center -- is a ground-breaking and emblematic building for Italy and all of Europe. Once heavily industrial and polluted, the current site of the New Milan Trade by architect Massimiliano Fuksas has been converted into an iconic new destination. Nearly one mile in length, the New Milan Trade fair is much more than a simple building. The various conventional halls, retail areas, offices, and administrative buildings are united by the great central canopy, a swirling and undulating sail that floats aboveground, creating a spectacular vision in the Milan skyline.
