Journey to the West (Chinese Edition)

The book mainly depicts the story that Sun Wukong escorted Xuanzang to go to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures and during the time they went through 81 times of hardships. The book has 100 chapters and seen from the general structure, it has 3 parts. Part one is from chapter 1 to chapter 8, mainly telling that Sun Wukong was born, he took someone as his master, and he created a tremendous uproar in the heavenly palace, which is the most wonderful part of the book. In the part, Sun Wukong flew up to the heaven and went down to the earth, and his rebellious personality was revealed incisively and vividly. Part two is from chapter 8 to chapter 12, mainly describing Xuanzangs background and the reason why he needed to obtain Buddhist scriptures. Part 3 is from chapter 13 to the last chapter, mainly depicting that on the way to the West, Xuanzang received three disciples Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie and Sha Wujing and they went through 81 times of hardships to finally obtain Buddhist scriptures and achieve Buddhahood.
