This is the first complete edition of the poetry (185 works) of the Russian critic, poet, and writer Kornei Chukovskii (Korneichukov) (1882-1969). This volume introduces Chukovskii not only as the author of Russian classic tales and verses for children, satirical poetry, and lyrics, but also as a translator of English folk songs and great English and American poets of 1905-1906. The best of Chukovskii's translations from Walt Whitman are included in the book. Index and comments.
