Nendo In The Box

Canadian-born Oki Sato received his MA in Architecture from Waseda University in Tokyo in 2002 and established his design office, nendo, the same year. He prides himself on the ability to give form to a clients desires, those unspoken wishes, and making them realise that the result is what they truly wanted all along. This present, as he calls it, is offered to them in a white box a model of an interior. From shops and offices to cafés and installations, Satos mastery of miniature creation is collected in 500 pages of photos from 38 projects and designs, accompanied by detailed information about each. Although the books dimensions are small, within its thickness lies wonder.
