China Products + Hongkong + Macau

Between March 1981 and July 2004 the married couple Shimao Shinzo and Ushioda Tokuko travelled regularly through the Chinese speaking world collecting everything small scale: from toys, packaging and combs to play-house furniture, balloons and health products. The result is a mind boggling collection of cheap mass-produced products, readily disposable but nevertheless clearly cherished.
