Paul Jacoulet (1896-1960) moved from Paris to Japan when he was three years old, and remained based there for the rest of his life. He is best known for his vivid-hued woodblock prints using traditional methods of the Ukiyo-e genre and his Japanese renditions of Westerners. This catalogue presents over 250 of his works including the prints, previously unseen watercolours, drawings, his early Nihonga and a wealth of supplementary materials.
