Francesco Clemente

Francesco Clemente is known for his extraordinary visual language, which draws on a multitude of timeless symbols, myths, cultures and philosophies. His oeuvre revolves around the great questions of the human individual - many of his works resemble dream-like visions, charged with eroticism and spirituality. In 1985, together with Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring - the stars of the 80s - he frescoed the legendary "Palladium" club in New York. The exquisitely printed illustrated book documents the paintings and other Fresco works and presents the series of eleven watercolors created in reminiscence of the frescoes of the club for the first time.
