The Course on the Lord's Prayer, Volume III

Part III of the Course on the Lord’s Prayer moves forward to the 3rd, 4th and 5th Petition of this Prayer. By way of an answer to many questions, the following can be said: The working of the astral in the soul-forces, whereby willing, feeling and thinking are bound and mixed together, creates an obstacle to the forming of a connection to man’s essential being. If the human being wishes to structure his soul-forces for the future, he is advised thus by the Guardian of the Threshold: – First separate your will from your wishes. – Then separate your wishes from alien thoughts. – Never indulge in fantasies stemming from lower drives of the soul. – And so, work out of pure thoughts.
