He studied biology in Québec, where he also took fine arts. After spending ten years in Gaspésie, and a year in the Outaouais region, he returned to New-Brunswick. Drawing has always been a part of his life and he cites nature as his greatest inspiration. Réjean Roy has written and illustrated more than two dozen books for Bouton d'or Acadie.
