This fascinating collection of letters, written between 1974 and 1980, offers insight into the similarities and differences in radical Catholic thought and social action in Canada and in the US, and the abiding hope that comes from faith translated into action. Grounded in the idealism of the 1960s, Fr. McKillop created the Youth Corps as a way of engaging Catholic youth in the pressing issues of the day. The iconic 1960s writer John Howard Griffin, one of McKillop's many loyal and intimate friends, was only too willing to share his ideas and life experiences with the Youth Corps.
