During the last ten years of his life, Francois Varillon gave several outstanding series of lectures in many towns and cities in France. His purpose was to probe in depth and revive the faith at the heart of controversial issues forming part of our present culture. Bernard Housset had many opportunities of meeting Francois Varillon.
