Wade Guyton: La Salle De Bains
Description:
Guytons printer drawings consist of illustrated pages torn out of exhibition catalogues, monographs and architecture books. With the help of a standard ink printer, Guyton then adds geometric shapes to the original plates which do not relate to the illustration in any ostensible way. One shows a Suprematist composition superimposed over an abstract biomorphic sculpture, another a perforated rectangle over a Dada poster, and in another, flames crawl over reproductions of paintings. Here three series of works are presented in this monograph, published in conjunction with an exhibition in Lyon.
