Norman and the Word of Wisdom

Norman and the Word of Wisdom was written to help Latter-day Saint children understand the importance of following the Word of Wisdom. Norman goes fishing with his grandpa and learns that the artificial insects that a fly fisherman uses to catch fish are similar to the lies that Satan uses to deceive us into thinking that cigarettes, alcohol and other harmful substances will bring us happiness. Along with the bad things mentioned in the Word of Wisdom, Norman also learns about good things that Heavenly Father has given us to help our bodies stay healthy and strong. Finally, Norman learns that the most important blessings of the Word of Wisdom aren’t physical at all, and that by following the Word of Wisdom we can have the Holy Ghost to guide us and protect us.
