Over the course of his life he wrote over three dozen books on topics ranging from psychology and spirituality to travelogues and culture studies. He won the BBC’s Outstanding Book of the Year twice and was awarded six first prizes at the UNESCO World Book Year in 1973. This work was first published in 1961 and he passed away in 1996.
